Wind, anybody?

As a place on the coast, Brighton is very windy, especially in so-called bad weather. We get some nice waves which crash noisily on the pebbles piled up on the beach. When a wave retreats, those pebbles produce a very distinctive sound.
Still, a little sunshine wouldn't be entirely unwelcome.

  1. Sounds like it could sound neat. I'm from Iowa we have wind here but it just destroys stuff nothing cool like that.

  4. I thought about adding a recording of those sounds but I don't have proper, mobile equipment. And since I'm a little audiophile I refuse to take one with the cheap stuff I do have! Well, stick around and I might just add one some day instead of a photo.

  6. That's about what I picture when I think of the English coastline....cold, grey, and rocky. But you guys seem to love going there.

  7. there's nothing quite like a rocky beach, it's much better then a sandy one in my opinion.

  9. Though obviously less so in the colder period than in the warmer, Brighton has actually quite its share of very sunny days throughout the year. For the really grey, rocky and cold coasts ask the poor sods up in Scotland. :p
